Storm Anthoni and a forecast for persistent heavy rain in the morning was ignored, in fact it was a pleasant day with a bit of drizzle as we got back to Marsden. Great company, two lovely packhorse bridges and lunch to look forward to – what’s not to like?
The last time I was on the route is some months ago during a dry spell, if you can remember those, and the stream that had to be crossed four times was quite benign. Still we don’t want it easy and only one got a soaking and managed to laugh it off after buying a dry outfit at the local charity shop. Marsden Golf Club put on a great spread in their very comfortable club house where folk could swap tales of ‘daring do’ and there wasn’t a hammer in sight. Over to Helen for next year.
It was great to see you all – thanks for coming.
