Walling Report July 2023

Date: 9th July 2023

Location: Ridge Farm, Diggle

Conditions: Sunny and warm.

Objective: Take down and rebuild a 12m and 15m section of wall.

It was an excellent turnout at Ridge Farm, with several new faces joining the regulars at the practice meet. The conditions were demanding and dirty, although not as dry as the previous meeting. The forecast was for some rain, but this didn’t arrive and it blue sky with white clouds for most of the day.

Despite the warm, sometimes hot conditions, it was a productive day. The Wallers were split across two sites, both of which were sloped. Good progress was made, and the walls are in a good position to be completed with a further visit.

The day ended around 4:00pm.
